Wayne State University's Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program is accepting applications for its next cohort of small business owners.

The application deadline for the next session is Nov. 24. Sessions begin Feb. 20.

WSU's Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program has already graduated 65 local business owners, from café proprietors to food processors to construction firms. The graduates recently celebrated at an event featuring Warren Buffet, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, and Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City, both members of the national Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Advisory Council.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses helps entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing them with education, financial capital and business support services. The curriculum focuses on practical business skills that can immediately be applied by business owners, including negotiation, marketing and employee management. The curriculum was designed by Babson College, the nation's top-ranked entrepreneurship school.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is open to business owners or co-owners whose businesses have operated for at least two years and earned at least $100,000 in the most recent fiscal year.
