What:
Wayne State University President M. Roy Wilson, administrators, faculty and staff will welcome new students and their families to the university's 147th academic year.
Wilson, Dean of Students David Strauss and Eranda Nikolla, associate professor of chemical engineering and recent recipient of the National Science Foundation's Faculty Early Career Development Award, will address the crowd. More than 2,000 incoming students and family members are expected to attend.
FestiFall, a lively outdoor celebration where students can share a picnic lunch and mingle with deans and faculty members while learning about Wayne State's vibrant campus life, will be held immediately following Convocation.
