The Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) is bringing its popular pop-up Inside|Out program to Wayne State.
Students, employees and community members will be able to take a look at three masterpiece painting reproductions at locations around campus from Aug. 19 through Sept. 29.
The installations and locations include:
• John Singleton Copley’s “Watson and the Shark,” near the Yamasaki Reflecting pools along Gullen Mall.
• Michiel Van Musscher’s “The Sinfonia,” in a Green Room at The Hilberry.
• Jan van Eyck’s “Saint Jerome in His Study,” along southern Gullen Mall near the Linsell House
This pop-up version of the DIA’s Inside|Out program includes high-quality reproductions of masterpieces from the museum’s collection, moved to the streets and parks of Detroit and the surrounding metropolitan area.
Facebook users can follow Inside|Out news and share their experiences through messages, photos, videos and more on the Inside|Out Facebook page at facebook.com/dia.insideout.
