WSU business school gets ready for finals week with friendly competition between students, faculty and alumni

WHAT: Biz Olympics, sponsored by the Wayne State University Business Student Senate and the School of Business Administration Alumni Association

WHEN: Noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 12

WHERE: Prentis Building Fishbowl, Wayne State University, 5201 Cass Avenue, Detroit, MI 48202

MORE INFO: The first-ever Biz Olympics will feature teams of five to seven students, faculty and/or alumni competing in Field Day-style events with a professional twist. Events include:

  • Pitch contest modeled after the show Shark Tank
  • Obstacle course featuring office chair racing, tying ties and a three-legged race
  • Mock interviews where students are given a short time to prepare for and then sell themselves in an interview with an outdated resume that includes grammatical errors
  • Scavenger hunt 
  • Jeopardy!-style trivia contest
