DETROIT - The final round of Wayne State University Law School Moot Court competition was Wednesday, March 26, and the winning finalists were third-year student John Gaviglio of Ferndale and second-year student Frank Moran of Rochester Hills.

The 2014 Law Day Competition took place in Wayne Law's Moot Courtroom. Judges were Professor Peter Henning, Assistant Professor Justin Long and alumni Brian Barkey, class of 1970; Valerie Newman, class of 1992; and Visiting Professor Michael Steinberg, class of 1989.

The team of Gaviglio and Moran took on finalists Chris Chesney of Royal Oak, third year; and Milica Filipovic of Sterling Heights, second year. In third place was the team of John Scott Buell of Birmingham and Zachary Rowley of Bay City, both second-year students. The competition starts with four in-house rounds with 18 teams of two participating until the field is honed to the final two teams.
