WHAT: Secretary of State Ruth Johnson, Gift of Life Michigan, the Michigan Eye-Bank and the Alpha Gamma Delta chapter at Wayne State University will celebrate Donate Life Day on WSU's main campus.
The sorority was instrumental in helping the university win the 11th annual Gift of Life Campus Challenge, a statewide donor signup competition, for the third consecutive year. Heart of a Warrior will be a high-energy event that includes a brief press conference, music, appearances by radio personalities from WKQI-FM, awards for organ donation champions, giveaways and the full-service Michigan Secretary of State Mobile Office. Students, faculty, staff and community members will be invited to sign up on Michigan's Organ Donor Registry.

MORE INFO: Johnson, a WSU alumna, will highlight Donate Life Day to kick off National Donate Life Month. Under her leadership and in partnership with donation and transplantation advocates, more than 1.4 million more people have signed up for the registry in the past three years.
