Wayne State’s athletics department celebrated the Class of 2014 on Saturday, Feb. 22, inducting six new members into the Athletic Hall of Fame.
Former student-athletes Erika Barczak (diving), Sarah Berry (softball), Sebastien Foka (men’s tennis), Kris Krzyminski (men’s basketball), Christer Tour (swimming) and Ebony Vincent (women’s basketball) were the Warriors who comprised the Hall of Fame’s 39th class.
“This class represents the first of a new century, each of whom excelled at WSU after 2000,” stated Director of Athletics Rob Fournier. “The group defines some of our most successful programs in our recent history. Each represents individual talent, but more important is their contribution to building winning programs."
The ceremony took place at the historic St. Andrews Hall on WSU's campus. The inductees were also honored during halftime of the Warrior men's basketball game against Grand Valley that afternoon.
With the induction of these new members, the membership total in the Athletic Hall of Fame now stands at 220.
