Noted anthropologist and marketing expert John F. Sherry will speak on "Anthropology, Marketing and Consumer Research" at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 in Wayne State University's Kresge Auditorium, located on the first floor of the Purdy/Kresge Library.
Sherry, an international expert on marketing and consumer behavior, is chair of the Marketing Department at the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. He has consulted with companies such as Motorola; Foote, Cone, and Belding; Ogilvy and Mather; Upjohn; Nokia; Young and Rubicam; and many others.
He is the author of such widely published articles as "Fast Fashion, Sustainability and the Ethical Appeal of Luxury Brands," and "The Aesthetics of Luxury Fashion, Body and Identity Formation."
The event is free and open to the public. The Purdy/Kresge Library is located at 5265 Cass Avenue, Detroit.
