The Woodward Avenue Action Association will hold three days of interactive community events Monday, June 17 through Wednesday, June 19 as part of its Woodward Complete Streets master planning effort, heralded as the single largest Complete Streets planning effort ever undertaken in North America.

This is the last in a series of five events that have been held for the Woodward corridor and will target the cities of Detroit and Highland Park.  

The Woodward Complete Streets master planning initiative is designed to make the entire 27-mile Woodward corridor more friendly and accessible for users of all modes and abilities.  

The project is community-driven and the public is encouraged to attend and participate.

The Complete Streets events will feature presentations, design sessions and a walking audit with walkability expert Dan Burden of the Walkable and Livable Communities Institute from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on June 18.

The three-day Woodward Complete Streets will be held at 2990 W. Grand Boulevard in Detroit, which will be open each day from 9 a.m. to 5 pm. Community members are invited to stop by the headquarters to consult with planners about their ideas for Woodward.
