The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality's 2012 Michigan Green Chemistry and Engineering Conference Hosted by Wayne State University, the "GreenUp" conference showcases how green chemistry and engineering are contributing to revitalization in manufacturing by using less toxic materials in the design and production of goods. Conference participants include manufacturers, researchers, chemists, engineers, industry CEOs, students, educators, entrepreneurs, decision makers and policymakers; anyone interested in smart, sustainable growth is welcome to attend. Attendees will learn how green chemistry and engineering can protect human health and the environment while helping businesses create new markets, reduce costs and gain a competitive edge.
