WHAT:
Wayne State University’s Center for the Study of Citizenship welcomes Sandy K. Baruah, president and CEO of the Detroit Regional Chamber, as the speaker for its annual Corporate Citizenship Lecture. Baruah will discuss the importance of good corporate citizenship and leadership, emphasizing local developments in national and global contexts.

Prior to joining the chamber, Baruah was acting administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), reporting to President George W. Bush and responsible for the SBA’s $18 billion small business loan portfolio. Before leading the SBA, he was U.S. assistant secretary of commerce.
