Wayne State University's Confucius Institute will hold the fifth annual CLAM (Chinese Language Association of Michigan) conference on Nov. 3

WHAT:
WSU’s Confucius Institute is sponsoring its fifth annual conference for the Chinese Language Association of Michigan. The theme of this year’s conference is “Better Learning, Better Instruction, Better Classes, Better Programs.”

WHEN:
Saturday, Nov. 3, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE:
McGregor Memorial Conference Center, 495 Ferry Mall, on the campus of Wayne State University

Those interested in registering for the conference can find registration forms on the Wayne State University Confucius Institute (CI) website at clas.wayne.edu/ci, or on the CLAM website at clam.wayne.edu. Registration is free for those who respond before Oct. 1.

Session proposals for this year’s conference are still being accepted. Those interested should visit the Confucius Institute website at clas.wayne.edu/ci and click on the CLAM Conference icon.

The CLAM conference is held each year to help local educators, administrators, students and advocates of Chinese language and culture help one another in their shared quest to enhance and improve Chinese language and cultural education in the state of Michigan and beyond.

The Confucius Institute at Wayne State University promotes Chinese language and culture and offers a multitude of programs to the southeastern Michigan community including study abroad programs, K-12 outreach programs, a summer program for high school students, and an annual Michigan China Quiz Bowl for middle and high school students.
