Wayne State University signs Reverse Transfer Agreements with three area community colleges

Wayne State University Provost Ronald Brown was joined by leaders from Henry Ford Community College (HFCC), Macomb Community College (MCC) and Oakland Community College (OCC) for a Reverse Transfer Agreement signing ceremony held Aug. 29 on the WSU main campus.

The agreement allows community college students transferring to Wayne State before earning an associate’s degree, to transfer back credits they earn at WSU so they can receive the associate's degree while studying at the University.

As directed by the State of Michigan in Public Act 62, the agreements provide a seamless transfer experience and increase student retention and degree completion at both levels.

Wayne State University is a premier urban research institution offering more than 370 academic programs through 13 schools and colleges to nearly 31,000 students.
