The Samuel M. Levin Economics Award Lecture featuring journalist and author Doron Levin. Levin will discuss the golden age of newspaper monopolies, the advent of the Internet, and the possibilities for journalism in the digital age.

Doron Levin has been a business and financial journalist and author for more than 30 years. He came to Detroit as a correspondent for the Wall Street Journal in 1984 to cover the automobile industry and was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. He published two books on the industry, "Irreconcilable Differences: Ross Perot versus General Motors" and "Behind the Wheel at Chrysler: The Iacocca Legacy."

He served as Detroit bureau chief for the New York Times, daily business columnist for the Detroit Free Press, and featured columnist for Bloomberg. He currently covers the automobile industry for Fortune.com and is a digital media strategist for C-suite executives. He is working on the memoirs of billionaire entrepreneur Sam Zell.
Levin is a graduate of Cornell University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
