The Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) at Wayne State University will premiere its new video series, Possibilities, on Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, from 6-10 p.m. at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA).
The Possibilities video series showcases four individuals with disabilities who live, work and attend schools in Michigan. Each piece highlights the daily lives and accomplishments of people at different points in the lifespan. The primary theme of the series is to illustrate that all people, regardless of disability, can lead full, successful and inclusive lives in their communities.
The DIA reception will begin at 6 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. A screening of the Possibilities video series will follow, and all guests will have the opportunity to stay and enjoy the DIA following the presentation.
If you are interested in attending this event, or for further information, please contact Michael Bray at DDI by calling 313-577-6684, or email the institute at DDI@wayne.edu. The event is free, but an RSVP is required.
