Matthew Seeger, Wayne State University professor and chair of the Department of Communication, and dean of the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts, is available to comment on Pennsylvania State University's public relations pitfalls in light of the recent sex abuse scandal.

Seeger, whose expertise is in communication ethics, crisis and emergency communication, and organizational responses to crisis and disaster, can discuss Penn State's handling of the crisis and the long-term impact on its reputation and credibility.

"Penn State's response has been inadequate; they have not offered a clear response or taken decisive action. They have been inconsistent and allowed others to frame the story," he says.
