What:
WSU's Omicron Chapter of Lambda Kappa Sigma (LKS) International Pharmacy Fraternity will lead national LKS convention attendees on a 3.1- mile "HOPE waLKS." The walk will introduce LKS members and friends to Detroit's art, architecture, and history. Donations for "HOPE waLKS" are raised through the entry fee and from the generosity of members, alumni, friends, and Metro Detroit businesses.

Why:
Due to the outstanding efforts of Wayne State's student Omicron Chapter, LKS is holding its annual convention, Wednesday (July 27) through Saturday (July 30), in the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit. The "HOPE waLKS" supports Project HOPE (Health Opportunities for People Everywhere), which provides U.S. and global humanitarian assistance and programs to develop long-term sustainable health care.

When:
Rachel Brodwick, representative from Project HOPE, kicks off "HOPE waLKS" at 8 a.m., Saturday, July 30.

Where:
Begins at Westin Book Cadillac, 114 Washington Blvd., east on Michigan to Campus Martius, north on Woodward, east on E. Montcalm, south on Brush, east on Macomb, south on St. Antoine, west on E. Fort, south on Beaubien, west on Atwater to Hart Plaza, north on Woodward, east on Michigan, ending at Westin Book Cadillac. A second group will follow the route in reverse. Both groups will meet at the Blue Cross Blue Shield rest stop, St. Antoine and Lafayette, before completing the walk.
