WHAT:
The procurement offices of Wayne State University (WSU), Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) and the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) will hold the first Midtown Development Initiative Buy in Detroit trade fair.
Detroit-based businesses are invited to meet with representatives from the three anchor institutions. Purchasing agents and buyers will be on hand to discuss opportunities to do business and will have information on how to register companies with each institution.

Tuesday, May 17, 2011, noon - 5 p.m.

Matthaei Physical Education Center, 5101 John C. Lodge Service Drive, on the campus of Wayne State University.

The Midtown Development Initiative is managed through U3 Ventures, a real estate development and advisory firm focused on university markets.
Representatives from each of the anchor institutions will be available to discuss the Buy in Detroit initiative, including James O'Connor, vice president of supply chain management at HFHS; Joan Gossman, director of purchasing at WSU; and Donald Groth, corporate vice president of materials resource management at the DMC.
