Infertility study seeks participants

The Wayne State University Physician Group is seeking women who have unexplained infertility, and that would like to have a child, to participate in a clinical research study to determine which of three medications will most likely result in pregnancy without multiple babies. If needed, all participants will receive a free physical exam, including pelvic ultrasound, pap smear, a test to determine if fallopian tubes are open, and a semen analysis of their partner.

You may be eligible to volunteer for the study if you:

• Are between 18 and 40 years old and seeking pregnancy;
• Have regular periods; and
• Have been trying to conceive for at least one year.

Participants will take study medications for four menstrual cycles, or until they achieve pregnancy, whichever comes first.

The study is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health's Reproductive Medicine Network, a multicenter network of clinical sites that conduct clinical studies to investigate problems in reproductive medicine, including infertility, reproductive disorders and diseases in men and women that affect fertility, and endocrinological disorders affecting reproduction.
