PHOTO RELEASE (Nov. 3, 2010) - The Wayne State University Law School Student Trial Advocacy Program (STAP) held the final round of the Donald E. Barris Trial Competition Oct. 30 in the Law School's Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium.

The medical malpractice case involved a plaintiff suing a doctor for failure to warn her deceased husband about the potentially dangerous interaction of certain medications. Students Sam Saif and Amanda White argued for the plaintiff, and students Natalie Brookins and Brian Kolodziej argued for the defense. Saif and White won the case.

Linda Turek, a Wayne Law adjunct faculty member, national team adviser and attorney at Sachs Waldman, presided along with attorneys Jonathan Schwartz of Kaufman Payton and Chapa, Kiana Franulic of the Law Offices of Kiana Franulic, and Marc Shefman of the Law Offices of Marc J. Shefman.
