MORE INFO:
The Confucius Institute founded CLAM as a much-needed professional organization for local kindergarten-college (K-16) teachers, administrators and advocates of Chinese language and culture. The conference is free this year for participants who register before Saturday, Oct. 30 (up to 120 spaces will be available). Parking is available in Structure 2 on Anthony Wayne Drive for $4.75.
CLAM was founded so that educators and advocates of Chinese language and culture would be able to exchange ideas about teaching, classroom management and program development. The first two conferences drew about 100 participants and 20 speakers, largely from Michigan colleges, elementary, middle, and high schools, but also from out of-state institutions.
Proposals for sessions will be accepted through Monday, Oct. 18. First-time presenters and graduate students are encouraged to submit session proposals along with teachers, college professors and program administrators.
Registration and session proposal forms may be found here.
