Wayne State University and Share A Smile are gearing up for the third annual Miles of Smiles walk, an event providing direct financial assistance to students at risk of not continuing their education. Last year's event netted more than $14,000 in scholarships for students in Wayne State's School of Business Administration. Funds raised from this year's event will go toward general scholarships for Wayne State students.

Walkers of all levels will enjoy an up-close view of the Wayne State campus. Maps will identify routes for casual walkers as well as those interested in a 5K course.

Share A Smile is a Michigan-based charitable organization providing direct assistance to individuals and families facing economic hardship due to circumstances beyond their control.
