Dr. Barry Franklin, professor of physiology at Wayne State's School of Medicine, was appointed to the American Heart Association board of directors for a two-year term. Franklin will serve as a science representative contributing to the association\'s mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke, through oversight of revenue generation and health impact activities.
