MORE INFO: Michigan Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land and WJBK Reporter Jackie Paige join the sixth annual Drive Safely to Wayne State Campaign, in cooperation with the Michigan Office of Highway Planning and Trinity Transportation.

Cheryle Morgan-Houston, whose son Havens was killed by a drunk driver in 2005, is the featured speaker with an important message at the sixth annual Drive Safely to Wayne State campaign Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 28 and 29, on the WSU campus. Her story, along with various interactive activities presented on the mall by the WSU Transportation Research Group (TRG), is part of a concerted effort by transportation safety leaders to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities on Michigan's roads.

We can make a difference by spreading this sober message: Buckle up. Drive sober. Eliminate distractions.

Wayne State has led the way among educational institutions in Michigan to engage the public in driving safety. Its event is organized by the WSU Transportation Research Group (TRG), which provides critical analysis and evaluation of the nation and Michigan's highway and safety programs.

This year's lead sponsor is Trinity Transportation, premier provider of ground transportation, including the WSU shuttle buses. For 25 years, Trinity has provided responsible, safe, and reliable service to clients in southeast Michigan.
