The Community Arts Gallery is pleased to announce that Leader of the Pack: 2008 WSU Faculty Exhibition will be on display from September 12 to October 17, 2008. This exhibition is a sampling of the work of both full and part-time faculty of Wayne State University's Department of Art and Art History.

Boasting some of Detroit's finest artists, Wayne State University features its annual faculty exhibition to kick off the 2008-09 academic year. Faculty members who have studied a variety of disciplines throughout the United States come together in an exhibition that celebrates the full spectrum of areas in studio art and design. Their talents represent the mediums of painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, metals, fibers, and photography, along with graphic, computer, fashion, industrial and interior design in a crowd pleasing exhibition to be presented at the Community Arts Gallery.

An opening reception with the artists will take place on September 12, from 5-8p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Artists participating in Head of the Class are important contributors to Detroit's arts community. We encourage everyone to attend this season opening exhibition!
