Bill Gaskins is a very engaging photographer, essayist, and contemporary thinker currently teaching at Parsons, The New School for Design in New York City. His lecture on Tuesday, May 20, will focus on his new project, THE CADILLAC CHRONICLES in which he uses portraiture to explore relationships between African-American men and their Cadillacs and to examine issues of race, class, consumerism, and popular culture -- a great opportunity to hear and interact with an important and provocative contemporary American photographer!
