DETROIT - April 17, 2008 - WDET 101.9FM Detroit Public Radio is proud to present award-winning journalist and best-selling author Amy Goodman in Detroit on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 7pm at the Community Arts Auditorium on the campus of Wayne State University. Popular host of "Democracy Now!," heard on WDET Monday through Thursday at 8:00pm, Goodman comes to Detroit with her new book co-written by her brother, David Goodman, titled, "
Standing Up To The Madness: Ordinary Heroes In Extraordinary Times" (published by Hyperion).
The event is also a fundraiser for Detroit Public Radio. For a gift of $100, donors receive a pair of Silver Circle Seats (first few rows) and a copy of Goodman's new book. General admission seats are also available for $15.
