Terry Margolis named to head executive and professional development, educational outreach at Wayne State University

Terry Margolis
has been appointed director for executive and professional development and educational outreach at Wayne State University. She was formerly director of the Professional Development Division in the WSU School of Business Administration. The appointment was announced by Ahmad Ezzeddine, associate vice president for educational outreach.
A Novi resident who serves on the city council, Margolis earned a Master's in Business Administration degree with high distinction from the University of Michigan and has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Wayne State.

In her new position, she manages development, design, marketing, implementation and evaluation of customized leadership development, executive education and certificate programs for corporate clients. She also oversees Wayne State's off-campus degree and certificate programs, including programming for the university's five satellite campuses in metropolitan Detroit.

Margolis serves on the boards of several professional and civic organizations and is a member of the Oakland County Women's Commission. She chairs the national advisory board of the Conference on Management and Executive Development.

She came to Wayne State in 2002 as associate director of the Professional Development Division in the business school. Prior to that, she was a consultant to businesses and nonprofit organizations in the areas of leadership and team development, communication and customer service.
