The Community Arts Gallery is pleased to announce the Head of the Class: 2007 Faculty Exhibition, on display from September 7 to October 12, 2007. This exhibition is a sampling of both full and part-time faculty of Wayne State University’s Department of Art and Art History.

Boasting some of the finest artists that Detroit has to offer, Wayne State University features the annual faculty exhibition to kick off the 2007-08 academic year. Faculty members who have studied a variety of disciplines throughout the United States come together in an exhibition that celebrates many areas of art. Their talents represent the mediums of painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, metals, fibers, and photography along with graphic, computer, fashion, industrial and interior design in a crowd pleasing exhibition to be presented at the Community Arts Gallery.

An opening reception with the artists will take place on September 7, from 5-8p.m. This event is free and open to the public. All of the participants in Head of the Class are important and strong contributors to Detroit’s arts community. We encourage all to attend this season opening exhibition!
