DETROIT – Aug. 16, 2007 -- The Wayne State University Alumni Association presents CareerBoost! What’s Your Plan? on Tuesday, Sept. 11. Hosted by the alumni association, the CareerBoost! workshops cover topics such as networking, career development and self-employment.
“Our CareerBoost! workshops are a unique extension to the many special events we offer throughout the year,” says Marguerite Rigby, executive director of the alumni association. “Through these workshops, students and alumni have the opportunity to gain valuable career advice from experienced professionals.”
Marsha Boettger, experienced Chrysler HR professional, will help you assess your personality, skills and values in order to choose a career that makes you happy and successful. This program is specifically designed for students and young alumni.
The CareerBoost! event will begin at 6 p.m. at Alumni House on Wayne State’s main campus. Cost is $10 for alumni association members, $15 for non-members, and free for Wayne State students with their One Cards. Light refreshments will be served.
