Wayne State University Journalism Program hosts “Journalism Day 2007 Internship Fair, luncheon, April 5

WHAT: The Wayne State University Journalism Program presents Journalism Day 2007 internship Fair

WHEN: Internship Fair: Thursday, April 5, 9-11 a.m.
Luncheon: 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: Manoogian Hall – First Floor, 906 West Warren, Detroit, main WSU campus
Luncheon – St. Andrews Hall, 918 Ludington Mall, Detroit, main WSU campus

MORE INFO: Open Interviews will be held. Students should bring resumes and samples. Representatives from television, radio, print and public relations agencies will include: African Americans on Wheels, American Red Cross, City of Dearborn Television, Crain’s Detroit Business, Detroit Free Press, Marx Layne & Company, Michigan Department of Civil Rights, MIX 92.3, Radio One, The Detroit News, 94.7 WCSX, WDIV – TV4 (NBC), WWJ Newsradio 950 (CBS)

Luncheon highlights will include:
• Journalist of the Year - Mike Wendland, Detroit Free Press Convergence Editor & Technology Columnist
• Alumna of the Year Rebecca Powers, Hour Detroit Editor
• Career Achievement Award Richard Wright, Posthumous Honor Wayne State University Associate Professor Emeritus
