How does your school rank on diversity?

The WSU Law School and Dean Frank Wu are referenced throughout a lengthy article on what schools throughout the country are doing to increase enrollment of minority students. The story points out that the Law School experienced an increase in minority enrollment between 2000 and 2005 at a time when other law schools in Michigan were experiencing enrollment drops. When the Proposition 2 Ballot initiative was proposed in the state, Wu and his staff began re-thinking admissions policies and developing a plan to ensure that the school, which had 21 percent minority enrollment in 2004-05, could remain as diverse as possible. "We had duel goals: not only ensuring we maintained a tradition of access to higher education and inclusion, but complying with the law," he explained.
