Wayne State University is included in the list of Southeast Michigan 21st Century Jobs Fund award recipients for 2006. A state board awarded more than $35.8 million to 24 projects that competed in the first round of awards. WSU received $830,277 towards research to develop a tool for more sensitive and quantitative tests to detect brain tumors.
