Wayne State University's homecoming parade Saturday morning set a record for the largest parade in the city. The university fell short of 100 but still had enough participants to set the record, said WSU Dean of Students David Strauss. Wayne State University President Irvin D. Reid made homecoming a priority on campus and the school's recent addition of dorms added to the buzz, Strauss said.
