Detroit style comes into view

Professor Rayneld Johnson, coordinator of the fashion design and merchandising program at Wayne State, commented about fashion trends in Detroit noting that urban chic is the city\'s main style imprint. \"I think Detroit fashion leaders are cutting-edge in some ways,\" said Johnson. She added that the future may hold good news for the area\'s clothing trendsetters. \"Technology has provided a means for a resurgence of a cottage industry. Individuals can develop their own labels and lines. I see it developing more as small entrepreneurs. There is a potential to develop into a larger industry.\"
