DETROIT – August 25, 2006 - WDET 101.9FM Detroit Public Radio is proud to present Amy Goodman in Detroit on Friday, September 22 at 7pm at the Hilberry Theatre on the campus of Wayne State University. Popular host of "Democracy Now!," heard on WDET weekdays at 11am, Goodman comes to Detroit with her new book co-written by her brother, David Goodman, titled, "Static: Government Liars, Media Cheerleaders, and the People Who Fight Back" (published by Hyperion and released September 5).
The event is also a fundraiser for Detroit Public Radio. For a gift of $150, donors receive a pair of Gold Circle Seats (first few rows), a copy of her new book and will attend a private catered reception with Amy Goodman.
