Wanted: More high-tech majors

Wayne State has joined three other Michigan universities in an effort to attract and retain minority students in science, technology, engineering and math fields. The program, called "Michigan-Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation," has a goal of increasing the number of underrepresented minorities earning four-year degrees in those fields by 50 percent in five years, and by 100 percent in 10 years.
