Dock Ellis still shoots from the lips

Wayne State researchers were given credit for calculating the potential distance of a home run hit by Reggie Jackson in the 1971 All-Star Game at Tiger Stadium. The shot was officially 400 feet, but the WSU researchers have shown that it would have gone 650 feet, had it not struck a light tower.
