Christian Verley, a 6-foot, 260-pound defensive tackle, recently committed to play football at Wayne State University joining his brother Matt Verley, a Warrior wide receiver who just completed his freshman year. "My brother loves it there and he encouraged me to come there," Verley said. Verley, who was an all-City selection on defense last fall, helped the Ottawa Hills Bengals (Grand Rapids) reach the second round of the state playoffs.
