Wayne State University celebrates first Earth Week celebration April 1-8

Wayne State University is hosting Earth Week April 1-8, 2006, to increase the awareness of protecting our natural resources and to encourage university recycling.

Earth Week events include a hybrid car display, presentations by professors and state environmental department officials, award-winning green cars, science of recycling, and an environmental improv show at The Towers residential suites.

The week’s mantra is “Clean, Neat and Organized,” and will include student and employee volunteers helping to recycle plastics, bottles, cardboard, milk jugs, paper, newspaper and the like.
