Detroit may not have an equivalent to New York 's many off-Broadway houses, but it does have the Louise Heck-Rabi Dramatic Writing Competition. Audiences can catch a glimpse into what the future of theater might look like when this year's three Heck-Rabi-winning short plays are produced Feb. 23-25 and March 2-4 in the Studio Theatre, below the Hilberry Theatre on the Wayne State University campus in Detroit .
