Black History Month at Wayne State University

Wayne State University has planned many lectures and activities in conjunction with Black History Month. The attached calendar lists many of the events, but there are others as well.

Check with individual departments and the Humanities Center at http://www.research.wayne.edu/hum/index.html, or (313) 577-5471, for detailed information on their planned activities.

The Department of African Studies is presenting a lecture, “The Black Panther Party and Black Consciousness,” by Professor Charles Jones, author of, of Georgia State University; and Ron Scott, journalist and host of “For My People.” The lecture will be presented on Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Bernath Auditorium, of the David Adamany Undergraduate Library.
