Former Wayne State University President David Adamany will retire on June 30 as president of Temple University , the Pennsylvania school says. Adamany became Temple \'s president in August 2000. Before that, he served as president of Wayne State in Detroit in 1982-97. From 1999 to 2000, he was chief executive of the Detroit Public Schools under a state reorganization of the school district.
