Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., 24-Hour Readathon to honor Civil Rights accomplishments at Wayne State University January 18 and 19, 2006

The powerful words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other famous civil rights leaders, including Nelson Mandela, Marcus Garvey and Malcolm X, will be read during the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., 24-hour Readathon at Wayne State University.

The event, which will begin at noon Jan. 18 and last until noon Jan. 19, will take place in a heated tent outside the WSU Undergraduate Library. The community, along with Wayne State’s students and employees, are invited to read and listen. Hot chocolate, coffee and donuts will be available to readers and listeners.
