Wayne State plans to add a $26 million engineering development center at its main campus over the next five years. Working with corporations and entrepreneurs, Wayne State President Irvin D. Reid told The Detroit News that he wants to speed research on everything from cancer diagnosis and treatment to detection of environmental hazards.
