Taking the suspense out of the undergraduate admissions process for the fall 2005 semester, Wayne State University is giving applicants on-the-spot admissions decisions during On-site Admissions events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, and Saturday, Aug. 27, at the WSU Welcome Center, on the corner of Woodward and Warren avenues in Detroit.
Financial aid and campus housing are still available and the university is waiving the $30 admissions application fee for these events. “These sessions allow students to talk with an adviser about financial aid, transfer credit and academics and, conveniently, get an admission decision on the spot,” says Susan Zwieg, director, Office of Undergraduate Admissions. “It’s a great opportunity to get on the fast track for the fall semester.”
To accommodate students’ busy schedules, appointments are encouraged and can be made by calling (313) 577-3577. “Applicants should bring their college transcripts as well as test scores from any entrance exams they may have taken,” Zwieg says. “This will allow admissions representatives to speed up the admissions process.”
Parking is free and available in Structure 6, behind the Welcome Center. For more information or to make a reservation, visit www.admissions.wayne.edu/apply or call (313) 577-3577.
Wayne State University is a premier institution of higher education offering more than 350 academic programs through 11 schools and colleges to more than 33,000 students. Classes are also offered in Oakland and Macomb counties.
