As Gov. Granholm wrapped up her trip to Japan , she said the visit has given her the chance to tell people there that Michigan workers are eager to build Japanese cars. The governor spent Friday encouraging a few more Japanese companies to locate or expand in Michigan . Wayne State President Irvin D. Reid attended the event, which was hosted by the Osaka Chamber of Commerce.
