DETROIT, Mich. — Wayne State University earned an IABC/Detroit-record three Best of Show awards during the chapter’s 24th Annual Renaissance Awards competition June 14 at Schoolcraft College, Livonia.
The annual competition showcases and honors the creativity and effectiveness of area professional communicators. Since 1997, the chapter has given the award for the Best of Show entry in five categories: Writing, Art/Design, Print Communication, Direct Mail and Advertising, and Communication Technology.
During the competition, WSU won seven awards and Best of Show for

Winning Best of Show is not new for WSU, which has notched a chapter-best seven Best of Show awards during the past four years, including three straight years in the Communication Technology category. “We\'re proud the judges again selected our work for Best of Show,” said Stephen E. Brown, associate vice president, WSU Marketing and Communications. “It validates that we have world-class communications and communicators.”
IABC/Detroit, one of the largest chapters of the 13,000-member International Association of Business Communicators, connects more than 280 professional communicators from southeast Michigan, northwest Ohio and southwest Ontario.
