DETROIT — Taking the suspense out of the undergraduate admissions process for the Fall 2005 term, Wayne State University is giving applicants an instant admissions decision during three walk-in admissions sessions in June. The sessions are scheduled at three Wayne State Extension Centers from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the locations and on the dates listed below.
Tuesday, June 21
University Center – Macomb
44575 Garfield Road
Clinton Twp., MI 48038
Wednesday, June 22
Wayne County Center
7800 W. Outer Drive, Suite 300
Detroit, MI 48235
Thursday, June 23
Oakland Center
33737 W. 12 Mile Road
Farmington Hills, MI 48331
"These sessions allow students to talk with an adviser about financial aid, transfer credit and academics and, conveniently, get an admissions decision on the spot," says Sylvia Stancil, Assistant Director, Transfer Relations, Office of Undergraduate Admissions. "It\'s a great opportunity for those who have some college credit to learn about transferring their credits to one of the many baccalaureate degrees we offer."
To accommodate students\' busy schedules, appointments are encouraged. "Applicants should bring their transcripts from all previously attended colleges and their high school transcripts if they have fewer than 12 transferable college credits," explains Stancil.
An application fee of $30, payable by check or money order to Wayne State University, is required for instant admission; cash will not be accepted. For more information or to make a reservation, visit www.admissions.wayne.edu/register or call (313) 577-3577.
