WDET Takes Home Seven Michigan Associated Press Awards Including \"General Excellence\" Award For Fourth Consecutive Year DETROIT - March 17, 2004 - Detroit Public Radio is proud to announce that the Michigan Associated Press has recognized WDET with seven awards:

General Excellence Award

WDET offers award-winning local news to listeners seven days a week. Newscasts can be heard Monday through Friday from 5am-9am (Morning Edition) and from 4pm-7pm (All Things Considered). WDET\'s award-winning local newscasts can also be heard on Saturday and Sunday from 8am-10am (Weekend Edition).

The WDET News Department continues to be recognized by organizations for its outstanding achievements in broadcast journalism.
